Marina project is vast relative to size of village

YOUR report (January 31) on the proposed marina development at Courtmacsherry in Co Cork was timely and welcome.

The recent public presentation to which you referred unfortunately lacked specific detail in regard to scale and elevation.

As the proposed site at Sea Road is at the lowest point in the village, it is reasonable to assume that the landfill of approximately four acres will be elevated above the level of the road to create a sea wall.
