Ireland in control
I find it disappointing to think that a senior economist with one of the countryâs leading banks should think EU policy is âoutside our controlâ, at least so far as migration is concerned.
Ireland has been part of the EU since 1973 and has, if it so wishes, a say on every policy. And it will be the only country in the EU to have a referendum on the new Reform Treaty later this year. Enough of the fatalism!
