WASN’T it great to see a new playground for children being opened in Sneem, Co Kerry, as shown in your backpage photo (December 18).

But how disappointing to see the Mayor of Kerry, Cllr Michael Healy-Rea, celebrate this in front of a large group of children by popping open a bottle of alcohol and spraying it all over the playground. This was very poor example from an elected representative.
