PDs are determined to continue the fight
Having attended the last general council meeting on December 1, I know such reports are far from the truth.
The party is planning a fight-back from a very disappointing general election result. All energies are focused in that direction, looking towards the local elections in 2009.
Judging by the attitudes of the councillors who attended the last general council meeting, they are fully behind the party fighting on.
The members — including party leader Mary Harney and Noel Grealish TD — are motivated and united in the belief that the party should continue to have a vital role in Irish politics.
