Katy French - What a sad, sad waste

KATY FRENCH died last night and tragically added her name to the ever-lengthening list of young Irish people believed to have died from drug misuse.

In Katy’s sad case we can only speculate about the cause of death but it is widely believed that she died because she, like thousands of other young and not so young Irish people, could not resist the lethal, subversive allure of cocaine.

Her family and friends will be devastated, just like the families of Kevin Doyle, who was buried on Wednesday, and his friend John Grey who remains in a coma, after using cocaine at a 21st birthday party in Waterford almost two weeks ago.
