Health service reform needs ‘lean thinking’

The current systems are simply not designed to make the process of care flow smoothly. The primary reason for a lot of our own recent healthcare system failures is the lack of real process change.

Toyota-style ‘lean thinking’ will support an efficient and high-quality care and delivery system where the needs of the patient are paramount.
