YOU frequently report immigrants being arrested and convicted of serious crimes.

Why aren’t they automatically deported on completion of their sentence? Do we not owe it to our society to protect it, where possible. If individuals — whether Irish or otherwise — migrate to another country, they should abide by the laws of that state? When you visit a neighbour’s house, should you not treat it with extra respect?
