Farewell to the tailors who kept barristers and priests looking their best

IT WAS with much sadness that I learned of the decision of the proprietors of Donal Stanley, the clerical and lay tailors of Marlborough Street, Dublin, to close their doors last week after many years of trading.

Many members of the clergy and barristers will have to find somewhere else to get their specialised kit such as detachable collars, studs, etc. I believe this is the last such shop of its kind in Ireland. I wish to thank them for many years of the most considerate service.
