Matters of fact

LIAM PLANTE (Letters, October 1) says Fr Con McGillicuddy (Letters, September 17) was ridiculed by his critics. As one of those who wrote (Septemner 20) about his letter, may I say that I merely pointed out several factual errors in Fr Con’s argument, which I felt detracted from his line of reasoning.

I hope that correcting errors isn’t considered to be ridicule.
