Question of belief

IT was sad to see Fr Con McGillicuddy (Letters, September 17) taking such ridicule from some letter-writers.

Let me say two things to his critics:

1. Believers don’t need convincing while non-believers will never be convinced anyway.

2. Someone once said there are no atheists on a plane going down.
