Changing Ireland - Morrow may need to be re-educated

IT IS almost certain that as we speak Foreign Minister Dermot Ahern is dispatching a civil servant to remonstrate with Dr Trevor Morrow, a former Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.

Dr Morrow has had the temerity to suggest we have become obsessed with sex, money and technology to the detriment of the values that might make us happy.

Just like the German Ambassador Christian Pauls, who was severely rebuked by the minister for describing Ireland in terms that did not equate with the official view of the land of stocks and shares, Dr Morrow has questioned how we are using our new-found wealth.
