World is moving to a grand design

AS a follow-up to the ‘science — religion arguments’ for or against the existence of God, I wish to submit an outline of the case against Richard Dawkins’s book, The God Delusion.

World is moving to a grand design

Science may not be able to prove the existence of God, but I believe commonsense provides irrefutable evidence, based on simple but cogent arguments, that there is no other logical explanation for the origin and continued existence of our world other than that it has been brought about and maintained by an external, benign and caring creator.

The world goes on a huge space journey of millions of miles around the sun every 365½ days. This has been happening for millions of years. The result is the four seasons.

This occurs with such precision that it has to be by design — it is certainly not happening by accident because accidents do not happen year after year with such perfection.

Where there is design there must be a designer, and since the operation has been taking place for millions of years, the designer must exist for all that time.

This designer-cum-engineer-cum architect must be all-powerful because the whole planetary system is so vast and intricate in all its workings.

And the designer of this wonderful operation must be good because the end result of this moving of the world every 365½ days, generating the four seasons, is the production of food for all living creatures.

All conclusions lead to an all-powerful designer in existence for millions of years who not only designed the world and its operation, but keeps it working. This designer-cum-engineer-cum-architect is usually called God.
