Bridge the gap between sculpture and aesthetics

THERE are already too many scaffold-type structures along the Liffey without adding an ungainly 48-metre lattice work by Anthony Gormley.

If the powers that be worked on a realistic replacement project for the Loop Line railway bridge, the architecturally-envisaged Custom House vista really would be magnificent.
