Hospital a model for successful service

IN the first three months of this year I was a patient at the Bons Secours hospital in Cork.

Hospital a model for successful service

The first two occasions were for tests and the third for major surgery.

I was very impressed by the work ethic, standard of care, concern and careful attention to detail shown by all staff.

Experiencing this level of efficiency put me very much at ease and I have no doubt contributed to the success of my operation.

The HSE should stop wasting taxpayers’ money on consultants and doubtful satisfaction surveys.

Using a successful hospital like the Bons Secours as a model would surely be more practical and less costly.

My thanks to Peter C Ryan, Dr Hugh O’Neill and the rest of the team for bringing me safely through the surgery. Thanks also to all the other staff who took care of me, but especially the nursing and household staff in St Joseph’s ward.
