NOW that there has been yet another stabbing in prison, we have to listen to the usual waffle from the bureaucrats about how it’s so difficult to look after prisoners humanely and you wouldn’t want to lock them up all the time, etc.

As a frequent airline passenger, I have almost to strip completely every time I want to fly anywhere — empty pockets, take off shoes, belt and jacket (varying between airports), hand over nail files and drinking water and suchlike childishness.

Do criminals have a trade union that doesn’t allow them to suffer such humiliations?
