Nothing fair about group’s selective sympathies

The FAIR group in the North concerns itself exclusively with the victims of republican violence.

Nothing fair about group’s selective sympathies

Even the group’s title — Families Acting for Innocent Relatives — is insulting as it implies that victims of British and loyalist violence — even people like the victims of Bloody Sunday and the Dublin/Monaghan bombings, who had no connection with republican paramilitaries — were guilty and somehow responsible for their fate. It also goes without saying that FAIR never gives a thought to the gross injustice perpetrated against the nationalist community by the old Stormont regime.

When FAIR’s Willie Frazer and his followers have the honesty to acknowledge the mote in their own eyes, perhaps then the time would be right for them to march in Dublin.
