YOUR excellent editorial (June 25) highlighted a shocking catalogue of Government neglect of the social and health needs of ordinary people.

If only the opposition could have articulated, in the run-up to the election, the callous disregard the Government has shown in these areas, we might not have to endure the same neglect for the next five years.
