Beverley shows contempt for licence-payers
Could it be that ‘someone’ has laid down the law to the State broadcaster? Has it been forced to swallow half of the €2.84m debt we the public are owed?
Ms Flynn has shown contempt for all RTÉ licence-payers. She seems to believe the rules do not apply to her and that she is unaccountable to the public. In her arrogance she tried to put the blame for all her actions on the shoulders of others.
If Beverly Flynn can get away with her large legal bill to RTÉ, why should anyone pay the TV licence fee?
Is this the standard we can expect from the State broadcaster in future? To cringe in fear when their hidden political masters crack the whip?
To buckle under political pressure without giving the paying public — the true owners of RTÉ — an explanation as to why they did so? What other indiscretions will be hidden in future by a State broadcaster afraid to confront sharp practices on our behalf?
