The treasures of the Sierra Nevada

TODAY IS pleasantly cool, here in the Sierra Nevada, good weather for walking.

At home, in West Cork, the blue-sky days go on and on. Since we arrived in December, weather reports from home have sometimes made us wonder what we’re doing here.

The weather hasn’t been all bad; we are in Spain, after all. After dreary December in Ireland, it was a treat to sit beside a glittering, azure swimming pool in Órgiva with a backdrop of snow-capped peaks against deep, blue skies.
