Barristers’ tax yield not in builders’ league

I READ with great interest (May 30) the news that the Revenue Commissioners are going to conduct a targeted investigation of barristers.

Alas, with the effect of the Personal Injuries Assessment Board on the practice of many members of the Bar, I would not be hoping for a level of tax collection similar to that recently received from the construction industry.
