Men fail to deal with the issues that matter

THE letter from Frank McGlynn (‘Why women prefer to leave politics to men, May 19) represents his view only.

I believe his rationale that women are “less willing than men to take on responsibility” misrepresents their place in society.

On the contrary, I think women (besides their duty to raise children and, along with their husbands, to be good parents) are becoming increasingly important in Irish politics.
