FOR one moment I thought my eyes were deceiving me.

Estate agents should ‘downsize’ their cars

Those same friendly estate agents who were saying a few weeks ago that the cost of stamp duty was slowing down the housing market are now saying they want an extra 2,145 to sell the average home in Dublin because they are having to work harder (Irish Examiner, May 25).

Presumably they will achieve this by clawing back any reduction in stamp duty that follows the election!
