HOW very clever of Environment Minister Dick Roche to confine the debate about water quality to Lough Corrib when he could have mentioned loughs Sheelin, Ennell, Derg, Conn, Cullin, Currane, Carragh, Lein, Ree, Curramore or even the great Mask.

The very sad reality is that zebra mussels have done more to clean up our lakes than Minister Roche no matter who he tries to blame.
