EU citizen seeks to exercise right to vote

I can’t ask my boss for leave for a polling date I don’t know because the Taoiseach has not yet called it. I will, however, try to be there at the end of May or start of June to exercise my franchise as an Irish citizen.

A Sunday election would be most convenient, but I realise I may have to make do with a Thursday.

However, since I have not been able to register at any address as a voter due to the new voter registration system, I’m not sure where to go to vote.

Surely the fact that I’m also a European citizen living and working outside my home country on EU territory (which we’re told is a democratic institution) couldn’t have caused me to be disenfranchised, or could it?
