Vote no to a Thursday election

THE Taoiseach recently indicated his preference for holding the forthcoming election on a Thursday.

This will cheat the many young people living away from the areas in which they are registered, particularly college students, who cannot get home on a Thursday to cast their votes.

To deprive this section of the electorate of their right to vote would be a disgrace.
