Conflict of interest?

CONGRATULATIONS on your front page article entitled “Apocalypse soon”, dealing with the report that warns of dire threats to Earth and mankind (Irish Examiner, April 7).

What a pity its impact was negated on page 10 with another colour photo, this time with a slightly different caption: “Super SUV: your chance to win a brand new Ssang Yong.”

A RECENT front page headline announced, “Apocalypse soon” (Irish Examiner, April 7). Yet on pages 10 and 12 you advertised a competition for a Ssang Yong SUV, which is probably nice to drive/own but it’s not the most environmentally-friendly vehicle.
