Workers’ woes

SO, Fianna Fáil TD for Donegal North-East and former Government minister Jim McDaid wants a three-year pay freeze for workers, supposedly to ‘protect our jobs’.

Why is it always workers who must ‘tighten belts’? Why not the business fat cats who are making record profits?

Shouldn’t TDs also ‘tighten their belts’?

Why are the workers always to blame when economic conditions deteriorate, or a business closes? We must accept that there’s no way we can compete with countries such as China or India.
