Ten years on and the health service still ails

MORE than 40 years ago, John F Kennedy declared that, within that decade, the United States would achieve the goal of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth.

By sheer force of political will, the US government achieved a goal many had claimed was physically impossible.

There will soon be a general election in Ireland, and the people will be asked who they want to form a Government to run the country for the next five years.
