It's not quite integrated transport is it?

THIS is the latest piece of bureaucratic codswallop from our hilarious public transport service.

It's not quite integrated transport is it?

Iarnród Éireann will sell you a ticket to bring you to Heuston Station. The ticket can include your onward travel on the red Luas line to the city centre.

This sounds sensible until you find out that this ticket does not provide for travel in the opposite direction — on the red Luas line towards Tallaght.

Did you ever hear of anything quite so narrow-minded and ridiculous? The concept of integrated ticketing universally implemented in all European cities to the great benefit and convenience of the travelling public seems to remain in its infancy in Ireland.
