Residents ignored by nursing home inspectors

I HAVE worked in a nursing home in Limerick for the past 10 years and have witnessed many nursing home inspections.

In all my time, though, I have never seen a member of a nursing home inspection team actually talk to a resident of our home to ask them about the service they receive.

My experience tells me they are more concerned with the physical building than the people who live in it.
