Healthcare has been consistently excellent

I WISH to convey our family’s appreciation to the multi-disciplinary staff of the maternity unit at St Finbarr’s Hospital, Cork, and the staff at Cork University Hospital (CUH).

We were recently the beneficiaries of high quality care involving reassurance, management, education and, above all, dignity, courtesy and kindness from a team led by Dr Barry O’Reilly, Dr Michael Harris, Dr Sineád Fenton and Dr Aidan Murray.

At a time when it is fashionable to denigrate health services, our experiences were very positive and suggest the criticism is exaggerated and unfair.
