Forget about Rabbitte’s intentions and focus on the really important issue

PLEASE stop your incessant fixation with Labour’s plans to form the next government.

No party leader, as you well know, would rule out any arrangement that might be in the national interest prior to an election. Whether they form an alliance with Fine Gael or whoever is irrelevant and seems only to be a media issue. The key is to get the current FF/PD Government out and have a more family-centred, policy-driven administration.

As a taxpayer, I’m tired of the media’s current fascination with pacts and pre-election deals. Shouldn’t the media have a fascination with the failings of the Government — lack of adequate healthcare, poor education and school facilities across the country, and unbalanced economic development (Dublin v the rest of the country).
