Breakfast at home a thing of the past?

JOANNE LANE (Irish Examiner letters, November 10) wrote about being unable to get breakfast on a morning train from Limerick, yet beer was on sale, which is ridiculous that early in the day.

However, it makes me wonder whether anyone eats breakfast at home before they go out nowadays?

Surely modern houses still come with kitchens as standard? It seem nobody is capable of feeding themselves any more, and instead we demand ready-brewed coffee and neatly packaged breakfast rolls to be hand-fed to us by public transport operators, newsagents or employers.

Where will it end? Perhaps Dublin Bus staff will be expected to provide fresh underwear for passengers or gardaí will have to hand out toothbrushes at busy junctions.
