Let Ryanair buzz-off

THERE has been extensive media debate recently about the rights and wrongs of the Ryanair takeover bid for Aer Lingus.

Who still remember when Ryanair took over Buzz Airlines not so long ago?

Staff were given new contracts on a take-it-or-buzz-off basis (pun intended). In short, the airline was wholly and completely integrated into Ryanair.

Should Ryanair succeed in gaining control of Aer Lingus, there is little doubt that the staff’s years of dedicated service, and customer loyalty, would matter little.

In short, Aer Lingus would be assimilated into the Ryanair monolith and resistance would be futile.

Please don’t let Ryanair create a monopoly that would be contrary to their well-publicised quest for greater competition.
