Moyross task force a step forward

THE setting up of a Government task force to tackle the problem of crime, disorder and social exclusion in the Moyross area on the northern fringe of Limerick city should be warmly welcomed.

The area, which was constructed in the late 1970s and early 1980s, has been a reservation of social exclusion for too long.

Much of Limerick has enjoyed unprecedented prosperity in recent years but some deprived areas have missed out for one reason or another. This has been a blight on our prosperity.
