Hospital staff praised

THESE days everyone seems to be complaining about our health service.

However, I have a good news story. A month ago my father was involved in a farm accident.

He was treated with the greatest dignity, swiftness and compassion by all the staff of University Hospital, Cork, in both A&E and the excellent surgical and ward teams.

I wish to thank them sincerely for their excellent care of my father and the kindness they showed to my family during this traumatic time.

In this country we are often very quick to criticise.

If only we were so prompt to recognise goodness.

My father is now recovering well.
