All the hard and hazardous work has been completed and in keeping with a company obsessed with safety, all works were carried out without incident. The work that remains to be completed at Bellanaboy is a simple terminal — not a refinery — from where gas offshore will be stored for onward transmission to the Irish energy market in the same safe fashion.

The protesters should let the local Shell workers on site without having to run the gauntlet.
