Simple way to avoid trial collapse

A murder trial collapsed in the Central Criminal Court on October 11, the reason being that the judge could not hear the prosecution during the closing address.

Perhaps a simple request to “speak up, sir, I cannot hear you” from the good judge would have prevented a costly new trial.
