Healthy outlook

I APPLAUD Norbert Kelvin for praising Ireland’s healthcare system (Irish Examiner letters, October 2), and in particular the doctors and staff at the Mercy Hospital in Cork who took care of him at no charge as a medical card-holder.

Healthy outlook

It’s refreshing that ‘big government’ in this case worked well for Mr Kelvin. In times of relentless criticism, finger-pointing and mistrust, I found his letter very refreshing. I’m glad, incidentally, that the Government has survived ‘Bertiegate’ because, God knows, the people pay enough to support it.
