Model behaviour of Junior Cert revellers

ALMOST 1,000 post Junior Cert students gathered in the Queen’s nightclub in Ennis to celebrate their exam results on Wednesday, September 13.

Despite all the media hype, they were extremely well behaved and a good time was had by all.

On behalf of the Parents’ Council of Coláiste Mhuire in Ennis, I would like to thank the young people for their good humoured acceptance of security arrangements and their cooperation on the night.

Thanks also to the organising committee, the parents who chaperoned, the gardaí and the club staff and management. It was a great celebration for students from all over Co Clare.

Congratulations to all involved.

It augurs well for the future to see so many teenagers capable of enjoying themselves while showing respect for others.

They deserve public acknowledgement through your letters page.
