Patience required at the hole-in-the-wall

DAMIEN COOKE’S letter (Irish Examiner, September 7) showed an impatience with those of us who take a whole two minutes to carry out an ATM transaction, as he apparently manages to do it in 30 seconds.

Mr Cooke may find out some day, when he gets older, that those of us who have not been blessed with good eyesight need a little more time.

However, I apologise to him, on behalf of all of us who suffer varying levels of visual impairment, for all the time we have wasted in his busy and productive life as we selfishly try to read the menus and find the correct keys to press.
