Persistent cold-callers should be told to get off the line once and for all

The phone companies that engage in this practice have become a major nuisance. I have often come home to find five or six missed calls, always from private numbers. I know it is them because on the few occasions I have been at home during the week, I discovered they always use anonymous numbers when they ring. Now I often won’t answer private numbers, even on my mobile phone, because these companies are targeting mobiles as well. Hopefully, this move is not just talk. The sooner persistent cold-calling ends, the better.
