Something beautiful for harbour island

It was home to the steel industry for over 50 years. Two generations worked there through the heat, noise and dust. Some employees lost their lives. They, too, should be remembered.

The people of Cobh, Ringaskiddy and surrounding areas should be consulted. A museum depicting our maritime heritage and shipbuilding should be coupled with that of steelmaking.
