United Nations losing credibility
Unless the UN takes action now and is seen to be acting for peace, it will never recover credibility.
It is time to bypass the elitist Security Council and for all the members of the United Nations to make their voices heard.
In this regard, we call upon our Government to introduce a resolution in the general assembly demanding an end the Israeli aggression and to Hezbollah and Hamas attacks, and to insist that the general secretary have the authority to immediately deploy troops from whatever country volunteers, to intervene now and save the lives of innocent men, women and children.
It is long past time that the general assembly took action to assert the rights of all members.
As a part of this process, any country which refuses to accept the democratic decision of the general assembly should be isolated by the world community.
