Rip-off culture continues

I COMMEND the article “Cost difference fails to add up” by Niamh Hennessy (Irish Examiner, July 25). It proved that Ireland is a true rip-off republic. We must put pressure on the Government to stop this rip-off culture.

Minister Micheál Martin claimed the abolition of the groceries order would bring greater competition to consumer goods but this has not had any great effect on large retailers which continue to charge consumers more here than in Britain.
