Carthy tribunal shakes confidence in justice

AFTER six years and a cost of €18 million, we eventually have the truth behind the appalling circumstances of John Carthy’s death.

Shamefully, An Garda Síochána has joined those who cower behind tribunals and expensive lawyers to frustrate the truth coming out.

If the public needs six years and €18m to get the basic truth out of these people, not even including a full acknowledgement of fault and an apology, are they really suitable to be involved in the justice system?
