Blair in denial about root cause of terror

ON the anniversary of the 7/7 terrorist attack in London, Tony Blair criticised the Muslim community in Britain for not doing enough to tackle extremism.

Mr Blair seems to be in denial about the role of his government and his allies, the US and Israel, in the radicalisation of Muslims across the world. He says: “You are wrong in your view about the west”.

But the west supports and supplies Israel with weapons that have killed many thousands of innocent Palestinian civilians, including women and children.

It is the US and Britain that attacked Iraq using the excuse that it had weapons of mass destruction. When that was proved untrue, they said it had links with Al-Qaida. Well, it does now, but it didn’t then.

Then they said they were establishing democracy in the Middle East, but when the Palestinian people had been so radicalised that they elected Hamas, the west and Israel decided to punish their democratic vote.

Mr Blair and his allies need to remove the beams in their own eyes before preaching to others.
