Minister should now issue a threat to himself

IN January 2003, Martin Cullen arrogantly threatened to abolish Dublin City Council because we could not agree on a budget, and in particular €15 million of that budget over which we had in fact little control.

Councillors eventually did what they had to do in order to ensure that the democratically-elected council would remain in place. Surely now, after presiding over the waste of nearly €60m of our money, Mr Cullen should follow his own diktat and resign.
