Compulsion isn’t working — let’s change course

COUNCILLOR John Brady takes issue with Fine Gael policy on the Irish language (Irish Examiner letters, June 27). More precisely, he takes issue with what he thinks FG policy on the language is without actually acquainting himself with the detail of what FG is proposing.

Cllr Brady claims that FG wants to ‘ditch Irish in schools’ and drop it from the curriculum. This is nonsense.
