SOME news reports of the Salthill Air Show included little boys enthusing about the noise of the warplanes.

For little boys in Gaza and Iraq the very same roar of a warplane or the whirr of a helicopter gunship is synonymous with terror and death.

The Salthill War Show, to rename it more aptly, is an attempt to hide the true nature of these weapons and those who fly them.
